Global Standard gGmbH, the organisation behind the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), is growing and we’re looking for a passionate and strategic Stakeholder Relations Specialist - Standards and Certification (Remote, Global) to join our team. As we expand our work and develop a second textile standard, this full-time, remote position will play a vital role in cultivating relationships with certified entities, Certification and Accreditation Bodies, NGOs and more. You will also support our standards revision process, contribute to global sustainability discussions, and ensure diverse stakeholder voices are heard and integrated. Last week, some Global Standard team members attended the Sustainable Apparel and Textiles Conference hosted by Innovation Forum in Amsterdam. Brands, suppliers, policymakers, campaigners, innovators and protestors came together to address the most pressing challenges facing the textile industry. On April 30th, Ruslan Alyamkin, our expert in Social Responsibility at Global Standard, joined the ISEAL Assurance Community of Practice webinar “Auditor Competence 101.” He presented key insights from the development of the GOTS Due Diligence Handbook for Auditors – a practical tool designed to strengthen auditors’ ability to assess human rights and environmental due diligence across textile supply chains. Built on the foundations of the OECD Due Diligence Guidance and UN Guiding Principles, the Handbook displays how sustainability systems like GOTS are advancing best practices in assurance and shaping the future of auditor competence.
