Celebrating 20 years of GOTS!

Dear readers

It's our anniversary and we want to celebrate with you! As the world's leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) has been engaged in improving the textile industry for two decades. To commemorate this exciting milestone, we are taking a moment to recognise those who have been with us along the way - our friends, stakeholders and partners, workers and managers in GOTS certified facilities, and consumers who have all helped to make GOTS the gold standard for organic textile certification - from field to fashion.

To show our appreciation, we are launching an awareness campaign that will educate, engage and inspire. We aim to empower people everywhere to say no to greenwashing and say yes to GOTS!

The centrepiece of the campaign is our 'Faces from Field to Fashion' video series. It's a behind-the-scenes journey to the heart of GOTS, and an introduction to the sights, sounds, and faces behind every GOTS product. Representing more than 4 million people working in GOTS certified facilities around the world, eight individuals give us a glimpse into their lives, and tell us how they have been impacted by GOTS in unscripted and candid video portraits.

We invite you to join us in the festivities from October through December, as the full video series is unveiled, along with new web content, creative contests, and fun giveaways. We look forward to honouring the occasion with you!

Sincerely,

Though they focus on different types of processing, these two family businesses have both approached sustainable growth through their core values of environmental protection and social justice, with each promoting meaningful efforts to preserve resources, enhance production and celebrate their community.
