Based on routine review by the Global Standard Integrity unit, discrepancies were observed in some documentation and an investigation was carried out by the company’s Certification Body. The CB found evidence of the company using fake shipping companies to show transportation of goods and defrauding the GOTS system. Investigations revealed that the shipping company did not exist, and no material movement actually took place. Based on the facts despite the company not being currently certified, the Certification Body withdrew the certification in August 2024 and recommended a certification ban on this company.

The Management deliberated the matter, issued a notice to the company which failed to respond within the stipulated time and therefore decided to constitute a certification ban for a minimum period of 2 years.
