Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) organized its 27thAIMS Annual Management Education Convention 2015. It was held in Indore, India from 25thto 27thAugust, 2015.
GOTS Representative in India & Bangladesh Mr. Sumit Gupta was invited to the event as a speaker. He spoke about “Use of Standards as a Sustainability Management Tool”, with the example of GOTS. In his presentation, he spoke about basic features of GOTS, The business case for sustainability (competitive advantages through sustainability); and Overlap of sustainability related competitive strategies and standards.
His presentation was followed by interactive session where audience asked many interesting questions about organic textiles and also concerning sustainability in general, including water saving and organic tobacco. The audience comprised of industry, academics and a large number of MBA students.
